   reflecting on Woodstock, I was 17 and just had my two lower wisdom teeth pulled, well more like jerked out by a man holding vice grips! A month before (around July 20, 1969) I saw Jimi Hendrix appear on the Tonight Show as Flip Wilson sat in for Johnny. Don't really recall what he played but he brought the house down. This was a precursor of his Woodstock appearance. In retrospect, the sound system for the bands was pretty weak in light of today' technology. But there was lots of heart and passion. The performances I recall from the movie documentary and LPs were CS&N, Joe Cocker, Santana, and Ten Years After.
