to healthnut and all the others that have viewed this.
YES the show is clean, it is a tribute not a parody. All the jokes are Red's and at the end he even says "It really is a lot of fun to hear laughter without the use of four letter words".

Next time you visit Vegas come see the ONLY family friendly comedy show NOW PERFORMING at the Westin Casuarina Las Vegas Hotel Casino and Spa, 160 East Flamingo Road, right across the street from the back side of Bally's

I haven't seen it but wish I could. I hope they are keeping it clean. That is the way he would have wanted it. I remember a show he did after retirement and after the comedy world had changed drastically. At the end of the show he asked if everyone enjoyed it at which time he got a huge applause. He then stated that he specifically did that return performance to show young comedians coming up that you do not to talk vulgar and use sexual jokes to make people laugh.

I realize that, considering most topics of conversation in this forum are not political, what I am about to relate may be a little depressing. Needless to say it should be addressed and should be given proper attention. I am a baby boomer and have become reliant on Social Security. It has been under attack, again, and frankly I am sickened by yet another attempt to undermine it's original intent. So here is my rant and thank you for letting me vent.
Social Security has always been a target and a focus for politicians in resolving national debt, platforms and projects for political restructuring. It has become skewed abominably from it's original intent. It has become the hobby of all politicians when elected to use, abuse and obscure and for some to even borrow from with no promise of payback. It was intended as insurance for retirees and for disabled workers not for arbitrary usury of elected officials. American citizens paid into Social Security and trusted that this would provide or subsidize their essentials in their retirement years.
The government has been irresponsible in how it has handled and managed these funds. They should be held accountable to the people who paid into this and will continue to pay into the Social Security. Despite what these dunderheads think it is not their money to be used however they chose. If they were going do to that why didn't they "invest" it something that was going to generate a profit or benefit those that had/have "invested" (taxed) into it. I think they (government) should have to pay back, at a enormous interest rate, to all who have paid into the Social Security fund. Maybe then I nor anyone else who is currently receiving this measly stipend and would have to rely on the government to mishandle my retirement security.
I know this sounds ridiculous and unrealistic but I am outraged and tired of living in fear of having my economic security blanket pulled out from me at the whim of politicians.
It does not matter to me what political format or platform one subscribe to, it is moot and beside the point. Attacking Social Security is just wrong and it effects the most vulnerable in our cultural. I cannot say this enough and will continue to voice this sentiment in every blog and comment I participate in and that is this: the aged in this country are treated abominably and it is apparent in every politicians agenda and their continual attack on Social Security

Not very many people are familiar with the Pacific Northwest's treasure of a town named Lake Oswego just a short drive from better-known Portland. What awaits visitors is more than worth the short drive through lush green forests to discover how important public art has become to one town's new identity.

It's amazing the acting ability then.. not like today. I found a site is owned by Arlene Herson and she has interviewed hundreds of actors and politicians through the years. All of the old timer andsome current ones. I bought Bea Arthur which was hilarious. I'm told that Lainie Kazan and Suzanne Summers are quite amusing too. the site is http://www.arleneherson.com.

Saturday June 12, 2010 marks the second annual Red Skelton Festival with a
“Parade of 1000 Clowns” in Vincennes Indiana. The parade is followed by a
“Paint the Town Red” Festival, with fun, good food, entertainment,
inflatables and games for kids.

Brian Hoffman’s celebrity impersonation of Red Skelton has been enjoyed by
thousands of people who visit Las Vegas. Now the people of Red’s hometown
of Vincennes Indiana will feel the love Brian has for “America’s Favorite
Clown”.

Brian Hoffman started doing comedy over 15 years ago. Never in his wildest
dreams did he think he would end up in Las Vegas performing in his own
afternoon show as Red Skelton.

When asked, “How did you ever decide to become a Red Skelton
impersonator?” the answer is always the same. Brian smiles and says, “It
wasn’t my idea, I believe it was His.”

“At first I just thought they were pulling my leg when strangers would
tell me I reminded them of Red Skelton.” says Brian, “But when enough
people tell you something, you tend to start believing in it!”

After hearing about the Red Skelton Festival in June, Brian’s wife
insisted that he take a week off from performing in Las Vegas to go see
the home town of the man he impersonates.

The week will be packed full of things to do like tours of the oldest
church in Indiana, Basilica of St. Francis Xavier or “The Old Cathedral”,
George Rogers Clark National Historical Park, the Abe Lincoln Trail,
Vincennes State Historic Sites, “Grouseland”, mansion and museum of
William Henry Harrison, 9th U.S. President and the Indiana Military Museum
and a self guided tour of Red Skelton’s boyhood home.

A friend of mine is thinking of starting up service that would provide 'technology assistance' to anyone, shall we say, a little behind the eight ball when it comes to doing things online or trying to figure out how to send pictures through text message on their cell phone. The idea would be having one dedicated person you could call or email for whatever computer, gadget or general technology question you have.

I thought it sounded great because truthfully there are really only a couple of things I go online for (email, pictures, etc) but could definitely use some help from time to time. Would be great to have an actual person to call to ask my 'dumb' questions to. But I'm curious if that's something other 'boomers' would use or if I'm just even behind the curve for our generation?

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts if you're interested in sharing. Thanks!
